Yarn Requirements

(Includes gradient yarn + contrast colours for petals and centre)

4 ply yarn: Approx. 280g – 330g total

8 ply yarn: Approx. 500g – 600g total

* Gradient yarn recommended for the main bag to achieve the bloom effect. Contrast colours required for petals and flower centre

* Yarn recommendation: 100% cotton, or similar well structured sturdy yarn

Other Requirements

* 2.5mm & 3mm hook for 4 ply bag, 3mm & 3.5mm hook for 8 ply bag.

*  Your usual crochet tools – scissors, stitch markers, and a yarn needle.

*  4 wooden O-rings, 40mm for the 4 ply bag, 55mm for the 8 ply bag.

* Plastic mesh for inside the base.

*  Optional:    a little fabric glue for the inside of your bag (recommended).

* Skill Level: Intermediate & Advanced

* Technique: Intarsia crochet, colour changes, multiple balls of yarn used at once

* Stitches used: sc, ch, slst, invisible join
